Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman Hiru granted bail to five of the accused on Monday

A total 36 out of 37 people, who were arrested in a case filed with Shahbagh police station over various incidents of question paper leaks, have been granted bail by a Dhaka court.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman Hiru granted bail to five of the accused on Monday, while the 31 others had been released on bail earlier, General Recording Officer SI Mahmudur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.

The five who were granted bail on Monday, including the main accused, had been arrested on August 9.

The HSC and SSC exams have been plagued with question paper leaks in recent years. Syndicates leaking the questions often use social media platforms and messaging apps to disseminate the leaked questions.
