Bangladesh Bank heist: Probe report delayed again
Submission of the probe report of the Bangladesh Bank heist has been delayed once more. This is the 22nd time the report has been delayed. The submission date was set for April 1. Due to the investigative officer not submitting the report on that day, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate AKM Moinuddin Siddiqui rescheduled the date to May 3. Motijheel police station General Registrar Officer's Assistant Jahidur Rahman disclosed the information. Hackers pulled off the biggest heist in modern banking history when they stole $81 million from Bangladesh Bank’s account with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in February 2016. Bangladesh Bank Accounts and Budgeting department Joint Director Jubair Bin Huda filed a case at the Motijheel police station on March 15, 2016.
