The charge framing hearing against Jatiya Party MP AKM Salim Osman was on Tuesday deferred to June 28 in a case filed over the public humiliating of a school headteacher in Narayanganj.
Dhaka Chief Judicial Magistrate Jasmine Ara Begum passed the order on Tuesday, after a hearing on a time petition filed by Salim's lawyer.

In May 2016, Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, the headteacher of Piyar Sattar Latif High School in Narayanganj, was humiliated and forced to squat holding his ears in the presence of local Jatiya Party MP Salim Osman.
A video clip of the incident went viral on social media, sparking huge protests across Bangladesh.
