Wife, one other to die for murdering husband

A Manikganj court has sentenced two people to death for murdering a rickshaw puller in  Harirampur upazila in 2011. District and Sessions Judge Md Mizanur Rahman Khan gave the verdict on Tuesday. The convicts are victim Idris Ali's wife Selina Hossain and Md Nazrul Islam. The court also acquitted another accused named Dulal of all the charges. 35-year-old Idris was murdered by the convicts in Kamarghana area under Harirampur upazila of the district on November 28, 2011. Later, Superintendent of Detective Branch (DB) of Police Mahbubul Alam filed a case against Idris' wife Selina and two others accusing them of the murder. Public Prosecutor Abdus Salam said the verdict was declared in the absence of the accused as both of them are at large.
