Khaleda Zia not to appear before court on Sunday

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be produced before the court on Sunday, February 18. Her lawyer Sanaullah Miah told the jail authorities on Saturday afternoon that she will not appear in person for the Barapukuria coalmine corruption case as a hearing in the case of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) mutiny is also scheduled on the same day. Sanaullah said she will appear before the court through a lawyer. According to him, Khaleda Zia is on bail for the Barapukuria corruption case. The hearing will be held on Sunday at the Special Judges Court 2. Earlier, a production warrant was issued to the prison authorities to have Khaleda Zia appear before the court.
