A Dhaka court has directed the authorities of old Dhaka Central Jail to provide first class division to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as per the jail code. Five other accused in the case, including her son and acting chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman, were sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Tk2.10 crore each. Later, the administration building of the old jail on Nazimuddin Road was declared a sub-jail to accommodate the BNP chief.
