Three local government officials in Ajmiriganj have been named in a defamation case after allegedly obstructing images of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Joydwip Roy Jony, a leader of Ajmiriganj upazila unit of Jubo League, filed the case with the court of Judicial Magistrate Rajib Ahmed Talukder on Wednesday.
The accused are Ajmiriganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Pulok Kanti Chakraborty, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Ali, and Local Government and Engineering Department staff Sakaria Miah.

The complainant's lawyer, Jillur Rahman, told the Dhaka Tribune that the court had taken cognizance of the complaint and ordered for a judicial inquiry into the incident.
