High Court stays proceedings of 3 subversion cases against Khaleda
The High Court (HC) on Tuesday stayed the proceedings of three subversion cases against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. A High Court bench comprised of Justice Md Miftah Uddin Choudhury and Justice ANM Bashir Ullah passed the order, issuing a rule asking the authorities concerned to explain why it should not quash proceedings of the cases, reports BSS.

Police had filed the cases against Khaleda with Jatrabari and Darus Salam police stations on charges of vandalising vehicles and setting them on fire during the blockade programme called by the BNP led alliance in 2015. Including these three, proceedings of 12 cases against the opposition party leader have so far been stayed by the High Court.
