The High Court issued a rule asking officials concerned to explain within four weeks to why the HSC admission policy should not be declared illegal.
A High Court bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque passed the order on Tuesday, after holding a primary hearing on a writ petition filed by Advocate Eunus Ali Akand.
The court ordered four officials, including Dhaka Education Board Chairman, to reply to the rule, reports BSS.
The court asked to keep the Viqarunnisa Noon College admission process of enrolling students on the basis of Grade Point Average out of the policy.
It also ordered to keep the admission process in place at three other colleges - Notre Dame College, Holy Cross College and St Joseph College.
