BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia did not appear before a Dhaka court for hearing in 11 cases on Tuesday due to illness, according to her lawyer.
The three-time former premier was set to appear before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Kamrul Hossain Molla.
The court accepted Khaleda's time petition and fixed March 28 for the next hearing.
“She has suddenly fallen sick,” defence lawyer Sanaullah Mia told reporters in the morning.
One of the 11 cases accuses Khaleda of sedition while the rest were filed over sabotage.
On Tuesday, the court was scheduled to hold indictment hearings in 10 cases, including the sedition case, and take another case to cognisance.
