The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked BIWTA Additional Chief Engineer Mohammad Saidur Rahman and three others to submit their wealth statements.
Director of ACC head office Akhtar Hossain Azad issued separate notices to each individual in this regard.
Additional Chief Engineer (dredging division) BIWTA, Dhaka Saidur Rahman , his wife Shamima Akhter, and former manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd's Sonargaon office of Narayanganj Mohammad Shahidul Islam are among those who have been served the notice.
The notice sought statements of all immovable and movable properties acquired in their own names and in that of their dependents.

Sources of income and detailed information on how they were acquired will have to be submitted to the ACC within 21 working days of receiving the notice.
If they fail to submit the statements within the stipulated time, or submit false statements, action will be taken against them as per Sub-section (2) of section 26 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
The Anti-Corruption Commission has been looking into the wealth information of many government and non-government officials across the country in recent years under suspicion of amassing illegal wealth, money laundering, and other forms of corruption.
