ACC summons 3 for embezzling Tk90 lakh

They have to appear before the commission on Tuesday

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned three people, including two general managers of Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL), for embezzling money.

A letter signed by the ACC Deputy Director Abu Bakar said they have been asked to appear before ACC on Tuesday.

The summoned ones are businessman Ashraf Hossain, RPGCL General Managers (Finance and Administration) Md Babar Ali and Ruchira Islam. They have been summoned for interrogation.

The trio was accused of embezzling Tk90 lakh from Janata Bank Rural Electrification Board branch of RPGCL, the letter added.

The commission received the complaint of the embezzlement in October, 2019, and later decided to investigate the allegations.
