The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sought the wealth information of former Awami League MP ABM Anwarul Haque, and his two wives in connection with amassing illegal wealth.
ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya on Sunday said they (Anwarul, and his two wives) were asked to submit the details of their wealth within 21 working days.
A notice signed by the commission's Director Syed Iqbal Hossain was sent to the trio in this regard.
Anwarul’s wives are Mahmuda Haque and Sulekha Begum.
He was an elected member of parliament from the Manikganj 1 constituency.
The anti-graft body has found evidences of illegally amassed wealth against the three.
The ACC also asked the former MP and his wives to submit information about their accumulated, movable and immovable wealth, income sources and bank accounts.
If they fail to submit details within the deadline, the commission will take legal action under the Section 26 (2) of the ACC Act 2004."
