They are asked to submit their wealth information within 21 days
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sent separate letters to four individuals, including an official of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk), seeking their wealth information.
ACC Director Sayeed Iqbal Hossain issued the letters on Wednesday, according to commission spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
In the letters they have been asked to submit their wealth information within 21 days, he said.
The individuals are Mizanur Rahman, authorized officer of Rajuk, and his wife Tamanna Mim, Mostafa Kamal, office assistant of National Housing Authority, and his wife Nasrin Sultana.
In primary interrogation the anti graft watchdog found that the individuals have amassed wealth illegally beyond their known sources of income, Pranab said.
And the commission also learnt that they accumulated wealth not only in their names but also in the names of their family members and relatives, he added.
A top ACC official said: "If they fail to submit their wealth information in detail within the deadline, the commission will take legal action under ACC Act 2004."
