The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to operate flights on some Bangladesh-China routes on “special grounds.”
The decision was made on Tuesday after reviewing the demands of passengers in emergency and other stakeholders, confirmed CAAB Chairman Air Vice-Marshal Mofidur Rahman.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US Bangla Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines got the permission to operate passenger flights between the two countries.
A number of Chinese citizens are currently working on various developmental projects in Bangladesh.
He said flights from Bangladesh would now be operated to six international destinations.
Meanwhile, transit flights can depart from Bangladesh but cannot enter the country.

Amid the all-out lockdown due to the coronavirus epidemic, Bangladesh has decided the suspension of all flights at home and abroad till April 28.
However, special flights to and from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Qatar, and Oman continue to operate for migrant workers and people with emergencies.
Cargo planes, special or chartered flights, and air ambulances are outside the purview of the suspension of flights.
