A fire broke out at the office of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Minto Road yesterday afternoon. However, there was no report of any injury or causality.
Masudur Rahman, media and public relations deputy commissioner of the dmp, told Dhaka Tribune that the fire originated from an electric short circuit in a room of the db office at about 2:20pm. db officials doused the fire with fire fighting tools kept at the office.
