A case has been filed against BNP's Rangpur Divisional Organizing Secretary and Lalmonirhat District unit BNP President Asadul Habib Dulu for allegedly comparing Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus.
The BNP leader made the remarks at a meeting at Khuniagachh union of Lalmonirhat upazila on Wednesday.
The next evening, Advocate Rafiqul Islam Khan filed a case against him with Lalmonirhat Sadar police station under the Information Technology and Communication Act, 2006.

According to the case statement, the BNP leader was addressing a meeting at Khuniagachh union’s Milon Bazar area.
During the meeting, he said: "A thousand times more people know Dr Yunus than the number of people who know Sheikh Hasina’s father."
His statement was circulated on the BNP Media Cell’s verified page on Facebook.
Sources at the Lalmonirhat district unit Awami League said they are likely to hold a demonstration on Monday against the incident.
Lalmonirhat Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Omar Faruk said: "We have received a complaint. The complaint requires a procedural. The work will begin after that.”
