50 model mosques to be inaugurated this month upon PM Hasina's approval
Preparations are also being made to inaugurate 50 more model mosques at the end of next February
Fifty model mosques are scheduled to be inaugurated during the last week of this month if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approves.
The information was revealed in the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Religious Affairs held at Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka on Thursday.
Besides, preparations are being made to inaugurate 50 more model mosques at the end of next February.
The progress report on the construction of one model mosque and Islamic cultural centre in each upazila was presented in the meeting.
It said that 50 model mosques were inaugurated on June 10, 2021. Another 286 are under construction.
