British boarding school Haileybury Bhaluka starts journey in Bangladesh
The school will be able to house up to 1,000 students
The first international boarding school Haileybury Bhaluka, one of the leading independent schools in the UK has started its journey in Bangladesh.
Haileybury Bhaluka is the first international boarding school chain, working in franchises in Bangladesh, said a press release.
The school was launched on October 15 2022 at Le Méridien Dhaka.
It is a joint venture between Best Holding’s sister concern, Best Services Limited and Haileybury, one of the leading independent schools in the UK.
The school will be able to house up to 1,000 students with outstanding state-of-the-art facilities for modern learning and education. It is situated on an 850-acre campus within the Dhamshur Economic Zone, 75km north of Dhaka, reads the press release.
State Minister, Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, Honourable Member of the Parliament of Mymensingh-11, Kazim Uddin Ahmed, President of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Hasan Papon, Robert Chatterton Dickson, British high commissioner to Bangladesh and The Master of the Haileybury UK, Martin Collier were present at the launching ceremony, along with many other distinguished guests.
The school will start its academic program in August next year, and for this the admission process is set to start in January.
State Minister Zahid Ahsan Russel that he believes Haileybury Bhaluka is a significant addition because of its uniqueness.
He added that Haileybury Bhaluka will be a step forward in harmony with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Vision 2041.
The President of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Hasan Papon also vowed a better future of education in Bangladesh in the coming days.
Robert Chatterton Dickson, the honorable high commissioner of the UK, said that Bangladesh improved a lot in the education sector and will go ahead in the near future and Haileybury Bhaluka is going to be a part of it.
Drawing on the Haileybury Journey Mark Smith celebrated the launch of Haileybury Bhaluka as an ambition to create a world-class international school in Bangladesh.
