PM Hasina on way to her village home in Tungipara
Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana left Ganabhaban at 7:15am on Friday
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana have started for Tungipara by road from her official residence Ganabhaban.
They left Ganabhaban at 7:15am on Friday, according to a message from PM’s press wing.
On their way to Tungipara, they will likely have a brief break at Jajira point's service area of Padma Bridge.
The prime minister opened the country's longest-ever self-financed Padma multi-purpose bridge amid nationwide jubilation on June 25.
The PM and her sister Rehana are scheduled to leave Tungipara for Dhaka Friday afternoon.
Tungipara is their village home in Gopalganj district where their father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country's founding leader, was buried after his assassination on August 15 in 1975.
