When walking through Dhaka's streets, one may see a significant number of food carts stationed alongside the road. Those food carts are crowded with people, especially the younger generation, eating, talking, and laughing. This is a regular glimpse of Dhaka's streets. Fuchka, chatni, juice, kebab, and chap are all offered for a reasonable price in those carts.

This culture started in Dhaka, but in this day of globalization and technology, it has spread throughout the country. As a result, those foods are now widely available and popular among the country's youth.



Aside from that, rice is Bangladesh's primary cuisine. Fish, meat, and vegetables are frequently included on menus. Shutki-based dishes are also popular and delicious among a wide range of individuals.

And, notably in Dhaka, Biriyani is the most popular dish. Biriyani (Chicken Biriyani, Kacchi Biriyani, Tehari) is eaten on almost every occasion. Borhani is a common drink served with Biriyani in this region, especially in Puran Dhaka (old town). During holidays, going to restaurants with friends to eat Biriyani is a common trend among young people.



In addition, various types of homemade cakes (pitha), desserts, and sweets can be found throughout Bangladesh's various districts.
