Highest temperature recorded in Rajshahi
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in 24 hours to Saturday morning.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet and Rangpur divisions and at a few places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places across the country, said a BMD bulletin.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly.
The country's highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.5°C in Rajshahi, and on Friday the lowest temperature was 24.0°C in Sitakunda of Chittagong.
The highest rainfall during the 24 hours till 6am on Friday was recorded at 45mm in Khepupara of Barisal.
The sun will set at 6:50pm on Friday and rise at 5:15am on Saturday in the capital.
