ULAB holds 7th Inter-University Student Conference

The student conference and cultural competition help to foster scholarship and creativity for students of all universities

The Department of English and Humanities (DEH) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized its seventh Inter-University Student Conference and Cultural Competition from Wednesday to Thursday. 

This year, to celebrate the 50 years of the nation’s independence, the theme was "Fifty Years of Bangladesh's Independence: Language, Literature, and Culture”. 

Ameenah Ahmed, member of ULAB Board of Trustees, and Liaquat Ali Lucky, director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, joined the occasion as the Guests of Honor. 

Every year, DEH organizes this student conference and cultural competition to foster scholarship and creativity in a friendly, competitive environment for students of all universities in Bangladesh. 

The department partnered with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and The Daily Star for this year’s event.

Prof Imran Rahman, vice-chancellor of ULAB, Prof Shamsad Mortuza, pro-VC, Arifa Ghani Rahman, head of DEH, faculty members, administrative officials and students, among others, were present.
