The vaccination program for school students aged between 12 and 17 years will start by October 30, Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said.
The education ministry will send the list of the students to the ICT Division by this month. “After getting the list, the vaccination program will start,” said the minister at a program in Dhaka on Thursday.
"We have bought 210,000,000 vaccines," he said. The vaccines will arrive here every month now. All in all, we have enough vaccines. If all goes well, we will be able to give 30,000,000 vaccines this month.
The DSHE sought information of students of 12-17 years, including their birth certificate number, from all schools and colleges of Dhaka. It asked all schools to submit the information by October 19.
School students whose names have already been sent to the information ministry will now be able to register for vaccination with their birth certificates through the Surokkha app or the Surokkha website.
After successful completion of this campaign, it will be expanded to 20 other districts, officials said.

For this, the government has a total of 30 lakh Pfizer vaccines in hand, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said.
