The Covid-19 death toll in Khulna district has crossed 700 with two patients passing away in the 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Some 131 new positive cases were also recorded during the same period, say health officials.
Khulna Civil Surgeon's Office Medical Officer Dr Sadia Monowara Usha said the latest number of cases took the daily test positivity rate to 21% and the total number of cases in the district to 26,389.
With the two new deaths at the dedicated hospital for Covid-19 patients, the death toll climbed to 701.
