Everyone has to work further to prevent crimes in the city, says DMP chief
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam on Wednesday awarded police personnel at various levels in recognition of their excellent works in June and July.
He awarded police officers at a monthly crime review meeting, held at the DMP Headquarters, in different divisions under the DMP for their professional and excellent role in various categories including
arms, drugs and arrest warrants carry out.
Addressing the meeting, the commissioner said the situation is returning to normal as the country relaxed the lockdown restrictions.

"We have to alert so that the law and order situation does not deteriorate. The real criminals must be brought under the law. All have to discharge responsibility properly. Everyone has to work further relentlessly preventing crimes in the city," he said.
Shafiqul Islam directed to inform the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit about missing of a person above 16 years old, having information or GD with the police station.
According to the meeting details, the Gulshan division became the first among the eight crime divisions of DMP in the monthly crime review meeting of June, while the best award went to the detective division of Tejgaon among the nine detective divisions.
It said Traffic Lalbagh division has become the first among eight traffic divisions.

Additional Commissioners Mir Rezaul Alam, Krishna Pada Roy, Dr AFM Masum Rabbani, AKM Hafeez Akter, Md Munibur Rahman and Md Asaduzzaman, also CTTC chief, Joint Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
