Some flights will be operated for international transit passengers
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has cancelled its domestic flights on all routes, effective from July 1 to July 7, due to the week-long all-out lockdown imposed by the government.
However, the national flag carrier will still operate a small number of flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, Sylhet and Cox's Bazar for international transit passengers during this period.
Only passengers with international Biman tickets would be able to travel on these flights, the airline said in a press release on Wednesday.

All passengers with tickets of the cancelled domestic flights would get the opportunity to travel later without paying any extra charge, subject to seat availability, Biman said.
Bangladesh is set to enter a hard lockdown from Thursday in a bid to control the alarming Covid-19 situation.
The government is preparing to deploy personnel of the Bangladesh Army alongside the police and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to ensure proper implementation of the lockdown and adherence to government regulations.
During this lockdown, people will not be allowed to leave their houses except for emergencies and, on top of that, no movement passes will be issued like the last time, according to the decision taken at the Cabinet meeting on Monday.
