This virtual training program will be held from 11am till 12:30pm, and will be accessible to all interested participants free of charge, says a press release.
All students and teachers across Bangladesh from eighth to twelfth grade are invited to the event, and the UCB will issue certificates of participation to all attendees.
UCB is the exclusive partner of Monash College Australia and the only Ministry of Education-approved international education provider in Bangladesh.
Monash College is fully-owned by Monash University, a world top 100 ranked university (QS 2021 rankings).
Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Jeremy Bruer will attend the event as chief guest, while keynote sessions will be jointly delivered by Professor Andrew Walker, pro vice chancellor and president, Monash University Malaysia; and Jo Mithen, chief executive officer, Monash College Australia.
Topics of the event will include UCB’s association with Monash College and how Bangladeshi students may derive benefits from the curriculum, course delivery and learning outcomes at Universal College Bangladesh, which are aligned to the global Monash College standards.
UCB Director Zarif Munir said: “The keynote sessions will also explain how Bangladeshi students can start their journey towards a degree at Monash University right here at UCB in Bangladesh.
“Students can join the Monash University Foundation Year program (comparable to Australian Year 12) or Monash College Diploma (equivalent to Monash University first year),” he added.
The program will be conducted by Kathleen O’Brien, team leader, learning skills adviser, diplomas division, Monash College Australia and Mohan Nair, team leader, law and accounting business diplomas, diplomas division, Monash College Australia.
The training will provide insights on developing key problem-solving skills and the methods to improve performance in tests.
Already generating significant interest across the nation, the workshop is expected to have not just hundreds of students participating across Bangladesh, but also teachers, parents, academic influencers and other members of the academic community.
