A six-year-old girl child has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after being sexually assaulted by a teenage madrasa student in Adabor area of Dhaka.

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Bachchu Mia said the minor rape survivor was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of the hospital on Friday afternoon, reports Bangla Tribune.

“She was taken to the OCC for necessary medical tests. Adabor police were instantly informed of the matter,” he said.

The accused is Nayeem, 15, who resides next to the victim’s family.

The child’s father said: “As usual, I went to work in the morning, while her mother was busy preparing food in our kitchen. Around 11:30am, my daughter went to Nayeem’s room.”

Nayeem then tricked her to the first floor of the building, and assaulted her.

Later on, when the news spread, locals caught and handed him over to the local ward councillor.
