The hospital is also providing services to Covid-19 patients
Evercare Hospital Chittagong, one of the country’s largest multispecialty tertiary care hospitals, at a workshop on Saturday said it has the ability to treat patients with any complex diseases.
On the occasion, leading consultants from the hospital talked about the clinical services and facilities available at the hospital, the capabilities of the medical team and recent positive medical outcomes, according to a press release issued on Sunday.
The official inauguration of the hospital was postponed due to the lockdown, and is scheduled for later this month.
However, the hospital has commenced its activities fully and it has been a blessing for patients living in and around Chittagong.
Besides conducting complex surgeries, Evercare Hospital Chittagong is also providing services to Covid-19 patients.
At the event, Dr Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius (senior consultant, Interventional Cardiology), shared his experience of successfully treating a patient named Badiul Alam, a diabetic who was admitted to Evercare Hospital with severe chest pain.
After carrying out an angiogram, Dr Illius found that the patient’s main blood vessel had three complex blocks, one of which was around 90-95%, another one was 90% and the last one was 99%.
Coronary testing of such a complex patient was done swiftly in the state-of-the-art Cath Lab in collaboration with the skilled cardiac team under the supervision of Dr Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius, read the press release.
Speaking of his experience at Evercare Hospital Chittagong, Badiul Alam said: “Although I had heard good things about the hospital before, after coming here myself I am tremendously impressed with their excellent management, international quality healthcare and the sincere dedication of all their staff, including the doctors and nurses.
“After contacting Dr Zahiruddin Mahmud Sir, on his advice, I agreed to undergo heart surgery and within a very short time, my treatment was completed. I found the cost of treatment very affordable as well.”
Chief Operating Officer at Evercare Hospital Chittagong Nilesh Gupta, Director (Medical Services) of the hospital Dr Prakash Kundur Narasimhaiah, and General Manager (Medical Services) Dr Mohammed Fazl - E- Akbar Chowdhury were present at the workshop session and experience exchange meeting organized on Sunday.
