Pandemic, lockdown, and restrictions play spoilsport again
Dhaka University (DU) authorities have rescheduled all the admissions tests in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent rise in cases and deaths across the country.
According to a press release, Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman, the vice-chancellor of DU, made the decision on Thursday in a virtual meeting with the general admission committee.
Pro Vice-Chancellors Prof Dr Md Samad and Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, and Treasurer Professor Momtaz Uddin Ahmed also attended the meeting.
As per the new schedule, now the admission tests for Ka unit is set to take place on August 6, Kha unit on August 7, Ga unit on August 13, Gha unit on August 14, and Cha unit on July 31.
The date for the Cha unit drawing admission tests will be announced later.
Prospective students will be able to download their admit cards online, starting from July 10 to 30 minutes before the exams.
All other directives regarding the exams will remain unchanged.
