The health authorities have so far administered vaccine doses to 3,581,169 people across the country
The health authorities in Bangladesh on Thursday inoculated over 121,000 people against the contagious Covid-19 disease.
Altogether 121,010 people were administered their first dose of the vaccine on the day. Of them, 72,800 were men and 48,210 were women, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With Thursday’s inoculations, the health authorities have so far administered vaccine doses to 3,581,169 people across the country. Of them, 2,294,069 were men while 1,287,100 were women.
People aged 40 years and above now can get registered to receive Covid-19 vaccines, the health ministry sources said.
23 of Thursday’s vaccine recipients experienced mild side effects. Till now, side effects in 807 people have been recorded.
Meanwhile, 42,644 people received Covid-19 vaccine in Dhaka division, followed by Chittagong division with 20,404 vaccine recipients.
Additionally, a total of 24,809 people received vaccine in Dhaka city on Thursday.
The inoculation would be administered among people in government hospitals up to upazila level while 4,770,953 people got them registered till 5.30pm on Thursday.
