Covid-19: Over 182,000 people get vaccinated on Tuesday

The health authorities have so far administered vaccine doses to 2,491,053 people across the country

The health authorities in Bangladesh on Tuesday inoculated over 114,000 people against the contagious Covid-19 disease.

Altogether 114,680 people were administered their first dose of the vaccine on the day. Of them, 68,539 were men and 46,141 were women, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With Tuesday’s inoculations, the health authorities have so far administered vaccine doses to 3,341,505 people in the country. Of them, 2,150,355 were men while 1,191,150 were women.

People aged 40 years and above can now get registered to receive Covid-19 vaccines, health ministry sources have said.

19 of Tuesday’s vaccine recipients experienced mild side effects. Till now, side effects in 773 people have been recorded.

Meanwhile, 42,593 people received the Covid-19 vaccine in Dhaka division, followed by Chittagong division with 21,470 vaccine recipients.

Additionally, a total of 24,522 people received vaccines in Dhaka city on Tuesday.

Vaccines will be administered among people in government hospitals up to upazila level. Meanwhile, 4,530,820 people registered for the vaccines till 5.30pm on Tuesday.
