Local police are investigating the matter
Police on Monday recovered the dead body of a tourist from a hotel room in the Saint Martin’s Island.
The deceased was identified as Badshah alias Bachchu Miah, son of late Abdul Hamid of Demra area in Dhaka.
Badshah was an employee at the BCS Computer City in Agargaon.
Police recovered the dead body from Room 17 of Neel Diganta Resort on the island on Monday afternoon.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, SI Masudur Rahman, in-charge of Saint Martin’s Island police outpost, said: “We are suspecting that Badshah died after having a heart attack. However, the matter is being investigated.”
Contacted, Md Jahangir, manager of Neel Diganta Resort, said: “A group of eight came to the island on Sunday and booked rooms at our resort. A few hours later in the afternoon, Badsha felt a slight pain on his chest and sought treatment from a local village doctor. After dinner, he took medicine and went to sleep.”
“Next morning, on Monday, a colleague of Badhshah found him dead inside the room with foam coming out of his mouth.”
