He said the government's goal is to implement its election manifesto
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said four mega projects, including Padma Bridge and Dhaka's Metro Rail, will open to public by June next year.
He made this remarks at a press conference at his Secretariat office on Sunday.
The minister also informed that two other mega projects include the Elevated Expressway in Dhaka and Bangabandhu Tunnel in Chittagong.
"Hopefully, all four projects will be completed by June next year," he told the press conference.
Replying to a question on what the Awami League government has been able to provide the people with after 12 years in power, Quader said: “I am overseeing three mega projects of the government. These projects are moving forward fast. Work on Dhaka Elevated Expressway, Metro Rail, Padma Bridge, Karnafuli Tunnel is in progress. We will be able to inaugurate them all by next year, I am working towards that goal.”
He said the government's goal is to implement its election manifesto.
"The main challenge is to implement the promises that we have made in the manifesto,” said Quader.
"When the situation will be a little normal, the decision to open a school-college will be taken by the prime minister," he said.
“Regarding the vaccine, the health minister has said that the vaccine may come by the end of January,” he added.
