Saudi police have announced the arrest of five Bangladeshi expatriates for their involvement in forcefully detaining and ransoming their fellow countrymen.
The arrests were made on Tuesday from the capital city of Riyadh.

The five accused, aged between 30 and 40, are accused of locking up five other Bangladeshis, and demanding ransom for their release from their families, reports Saudi Expatriates.
Under primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed to committing six other crimes of similar nature from which they obtained a total of 25,500 Saudi riyals.
Legal measures are currently being drawn up against the arrestees, said Riyadh police.
