The legendary actor passed away early Friday morning; His body was taken to Liberation War Museum for people to pay last respect
Tributes are pouring in for the Ekushey Padak-winning thespian and freedom fighter Aly Zaker.
The legendary actor passed away at the United Hospital in Dhaka at around 6:40am on Friday.
His body was taken to the Liberation War Museum in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar where friends and colleagues bid a final farewell to the revered artist.
A member of the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra in 1971, Aly was accorded a guard of honour for his contributions to the Liberation War as a freedom fighter. He was later laid to rest at the capital's Banani Graveyard following a Namaz-e-Janaza after the Asr prayers at the graveyard mosque.

People from all walks of life, including cultural activists, freedom fighters and politicians, paid their last tributes to Zaker.
He was also accorded the state honour there.
He will be buried at Banani graveyard with state honour following the namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers, said Sammilito Sangskrit Jote President Golam Kuddus.
Alongside Ekushey Padak, Zaker received Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Award, Bangabandhu Award, Munier Chowdhury Award, Naren Biswas Award, among other accolades, for his work.
