Prime minister to attend the main opening program as chief guest
Digital Bangladesh Day 2020 is set to be celebrated across the country on December 12.
The decision to observe the day was taken at the preparatory meeting of the 4th Digital Bangladesh Day 2020 celebration committee, held virtually on Friday.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the meeting.

The state minister gave instructions to celebrate the day in a befitting manner and with utmost sincerity.
At the meeting, it was also decided that the ICT Division would place a floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi road 32 to mark the day.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend the main opening program and prize distribution ceremony on the day as the chief guest.
The programs on the day will include bringing out supplements in national dailies highlighting the successes and achievements of twelve years in building a Digital Bangladesh, talk shows on different electronic media, the holding two webinars– one in Bengali and other in English– on the aims and objectives of the day, an online quiz competition, essay writing competitions on various topics related to Digital Bangladesh at districts and upazilas, lectures, art competitions, discussions and seminars, workshops, staging of dramas and prize distribution among persons, organizations and entrepreneurs.

Senior Secretary of the ICT Division NM Ziaul Alam, Director General of the ICT Department ABM Arshad Hossen, officials from the ICT division and its subordinate bodies and representatives of different ICT related organizations, among others, joined the online meeting.
