The Election Commission (EC) has decided to file a case against Faridpur 4 MP Mujibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury for violating the Upazila Parishad (Election Code of Conduct) Rule 2016.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda confirmed the matter to media from Nirbachan Bhaban on Wednesday.

The case will be filed for violating the code of conduct in Charbhadrasan upazila election of Faridpur district. The returning officer will file the case on behalf of the Election Commission.
"The commission has enough information to file the case. The case will be filed today or Thursday. Later, police will investigate the matter. However, a three-member committee will be formed to look into the matter and find out any further allegations against Nixon," the CEC added.
