The earthquake was felt at 11:38pm on Saturday
An earthquake with 5.4 magnitude shook Sylhet on Saturday night.
Categorized as a moderate one, the earthquake was felt at 11:38pm, said Md Momenul Islam, a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department's Dhaka office.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Moirang region, a town in the Indian state of Manipur, which is about 405km northeast of capital Dhaka, he added.
However, no casualties have been reported yet.
