Light to moderate rain likely across Bangladesh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thunderstorms in different parts of the country..

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rajshahi division and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the northern part of the country,” said a Met Office release on Thursday. 

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. 

Bangladesh’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.5°C at Tarash, Rajshahi division and the lowest one on Thursday was recorded 24°C at Dinajpur and Rajarhat.

The sun will set at 5:59pm on Thursday and will rise at 5:46am on Friday in Dhaka.
