Palak: Govt committed to build Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla

He said, Bangabandhu has taught us that this country has golden soil and hardworking people

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Saturday said the government is committed to build a happy and prosperous Sonar Bangla dreamt by Bangabandhu.

The government led by Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly for the welfare of the people following the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he added.

The state minister said this while speaking at a function to distribute saplings, fertilizers and seeds among farmers on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary at Singra Upazila Court ground here on Saturday.

Palak said: “Bangladesh is moving forward in the development indicators despite the global recession in the Covid-19 pandemic. Development activities, including mega projects in the country, have been kept afloat by dealing with the coronavirus situation and flood situation efficiently.”

“Even though people in different countries of the world have become jobless and food shortages have occurred during the coronavirus pandemic, we have been able to handle this situation under the visionary, courageous and prudent leadership of Sheikh Hasina,” he added.

He also said, Bangabandhu has taught us that this country has golden soil and hardworking people. If these hardworking people can be employed, this country will be Sonar Bangla.

“We will pay the debt of Bangabandhu’s blood by fulfilling his cherished dream and the government is working relentlessly to achieve this goal,” he continued.

Upazila Administration and Department of Agricultural Extension jointly organized distribution of fruit, forest and medicinal saplings among the leaders of Awami League and its affiliated organizations at ward level of 12 unions including educational institutions and religious institutions of the upazila and distribution of vegetable seeds and masakalai seeds and fertilizers among 600 farmers of the upazila. .

Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Hasan presided over the function while Singra Municipality Mayor Jannatul Ferdous and Upazila Agriculture Officer Sajjad Hossain also spoke.
