The tourist spot is reopening after remaining closed for five months
Sajek Valley, an emerging tourist spot situated among the hills of the Kasalong range in Sajek of Baghaichhari upazila, Rangamati, is set to reopen from September.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ahsan Habib Jitu confirmed the matter and said tourists will be allowed to visit the valley while maintaining the health guidelines amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sajek Cottage Owners Association President Suporno Deb Barman said resort owners have been counting great losses due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The resorts will be operated while strictly following hygiene and health guidelines to recover the losses, he said.
