List updated on May 27 and made effective from May 29
All airports in Bangladesh are located in Covid-19 affected areas, posing a high risk of transmission of the disease, according to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
A list regarding high risk airports across the globe, including in neighbouring countries, was updated by the EU agency on May 27 and made effective from May 29.
"This list is developed in coordination with EASA Member States and based on information from WHO (World Health Organization), ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) and other reputable public health institutes," according to the agency.
No airports of Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka are on the list, while all airports in Pakistan, Afghanistan and six most affected states of India made it to the updated list.
