All returnees were sent to home quarantine
A fresh batch of 195 Bangladeshi citizens have returned from the Maldives on a special flight.
These Bangladeshi nationals had been stranded in the Maldives due to travel restrictions imposed to contain the outbreak of the coronavirus outbreak.
An official of Aviation Security informed Dhaka Tribune on Saturday about the return of the Bangladeshis.
A special flight of Maldivian Airline carrying the Bangladeshis landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at around 2:30pm on Saturday, an official at the airport confirmed to Dhaka Tribune.
After screening at the airport, all returnees were sent to home quarantine, said a health official at the airport.
Meanwhile, another flight carrying around 200 Bangladeshis from the UAE was scheduled to arrive at 8.30pm on the same day.
