The CMSD earlier came under much scrutiny when they delivered ordinary masks, mislabeled as N95 masks, to government hospitals
The government has appointed a new director to the Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD).
The public administration ministry announced the appointment of Additional Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman as CMSD director, with an order issued on Friday.
Additional Secretary, Health Services Division, Habibur Rahman Khan, confirmed the matter.
He will replace Brig Gen Md Shahidullah, who has been assigned to the Armed Forces Division.
Earlier, the CMSD became the subject of much scrutiny when they delivered ordinary masks, mislabeled as N95 masks, to government hospitals amidst the coronavirus crisis.
Asked if that incident played a role in the transfer, Habibur Rahman denied any knowledge on the matter.
