More than 300 Bangladeshis, who have been stranded in India due to travel restriction amid the coronavirus lockdown, have returned on Saturday.
A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines from Kolkata with 167 passengers landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) around 2:50pm, HSIA Director Touhid-ul Ahsan told the Dhaka Tribune.
Later in the day, a Biman Bangladesh airlines flight flew in another 151 Bangladeshis from the neighbouring country.
The national flag carrier’s flight from the Indian capital of Delhi landed at Dhaka at 4.43pm, said Biman's Deputy General Manager Tahera Khondoker.
