Another special chartered flight is being planned to return American nationals to their country
A special chartered flight has been arranged for German nationals living in Bangladesh to return to their country.
Captain AHM Towhid-Ul Ahsan, Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, confirmed it.
The flight is scheduled to depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday, April 10, and will arrive at Frankfurt International Airport.
It will be the first flight to return German nationals to their country since the start of the coronavirus crisis.
Meanwhile, another special chartered flight is being planned to return American nationals to their country, for the third time since the beginning of the outbreak.
This flight will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on April 13, have a layover in Doha, Qatar, and arrive at Dulles International Airport in Washington.
Passengers will not be authorized to leave the plane during their transit in Doha.
Sources from Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh have said that the United States-bound flight is not yet confirmed, but is being planned to depart on April 13.
The coronavirus pandemic has globally infected 1,521,459 people and killed 88,613 people thus far, according to Worldometer.
