The country has been witnessing a mild heatwave in several regions on Tuesday, and it may spread to other regions.
“Mild heatwave is sweeping over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Rangamati and Sylhet, and it may spread,” said Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s daily weather bulletin on Sunday.
It mentioned that the heatwave comes as the trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area while seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The bulletin added that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
According to the bulletin, day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The sun sets at 6:17pm today and rises at 5:43am tomorrow in the capital.
