Those put under quarantine include family members of two Bangladeshi brothers, who recently returned home from Italy
At least five people, including a Chinese national, have been put under observation in Narayanganj.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Narayanganj Civil Surgeon Dr Imtiaz Ahmed said the suspected patients have been kept under observation at their residences under special arrangements.
Those put under quarantine include family members of two Bangladeshi brothers, who recently returned home from Italy.
“As those who returned home from abroad in the last 14 days are generally being kept under observation, family members of the two brothers and a Chinese national have been put under quarantine,” Dr Imtiaz said.
He also said none of them have been found to have contacted Coronavirus yet.
On Sunday, Bangladesh confirmed three coronavirus cases for the first time.
Since last month, a number of Bangladeshi nationals were also found infected with the virus in several other countries.
